WebHelp, sick goldfish. My neighbor asked me to look after his turtle while he's away for a work trip. While I was over there to feed it I noticed the pond was kinda gross and scummy, so I started to clean it up a bit, went home and got my water test kit and found the ammonia was alarmingly high, so I took the turtle out to do a water change. WebI also went to the local pet/pond shop and bought about 7-8 small pond goldfish of various breeding and from different tanks. I have a heater in the pond keeping the temp just below 80 and have good filtration, and clear water. The Mosquito fish are just fine but slowly I have been losing the goldfish one by one.
